LASIK is short for Laser-assisted in situ Keratomileusis. You may know it as laser eye surgery. It works by changing the shape of the eye’s cornea, which then allows light to properly travel to the back of the eye so that your brain can correctly process it. This improves your vision and can overcome nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. The procedure has a 96 percent success rate in helping people avoid needing to use their glasses or contact lenses anymore.

You may be able to get LASIK eye surgery and have your vision improve in such a way as to no longer require glasses or contact lenses. Laser eye surgery treats conditions such as astigmatism, myopia, hypertropia, and presbyopia, so many people are good candidates who stand to gain a lot. There is a small risk of vision loss, dry eye, halo vision, infection, and a slipped flap due to surgery.

Dr. Kaspian works closely with the vision LASIK center. she will set you up for a free consultation. it is recommended to avoid wearing any contact lenses for a few days before you get your consultation. once you are approved for the procedure, she will do the pre and post-op for your Lasik surgery. there is no pain because you will be completely numb and the recovery time is very quick so you can go to work and return to your regular activities within a few days. we will make it as easy and seamless as possible.
